Books

I have published several nonfiction books, mostly in the marketing niche. Some of these books have been bestsellers (Becoming A Digital Marketer) while others have been absolute boat anchors.

Becoming A Digital Marketer

Anya and I wrote Becoming A Digital Marketer: Gaining the Hard & Soft Skills for a Tech-Driven Marketing Career in 2019. This book actually became a bestseller, with just over 7,500 copies sold since publication. It has been used in marketing courses in several dozen universities across the world.

Building A Successful Micro-Agency

This book (Building A Successful Micro-Agency: A Guide to Starting Profitable & Sustainable Digital Marketing Agencies) was published in 2022. It’s been moderately successful, selling several thousand copies. It’s everything I know about running a digital agency.

Unorthodoxy

My latest book, Unorthodoxy: A contrarian marketer’s philosophy for surviving the dying internet, is a deeply contrarian book weaving together anecdotes on the mimetic nature of human creativity, the centralization of the internet, and the fallacy of bell curves to offer unique insights about what it takes to reach success in sales and marketing.

I write The Iconoclast, a weekly newsletter full of opinions on finance, history, culture, marketing, and anything else that could get me canceled.
